TAD Mastery Level I required!
A good theoretical knowledge of Dr. Baumgaertel's protocol and TAD use in general is required to get the most out of the TAD Challenge mentorship program. Dr. Baumgaertel asks that you first participate in the TAD Certification Course before joining the Mentorship.
The one-on-one Mentorship is for doctors that have achieved TAD Mastery Level I by attending the TAD Certification Course. Since all participants will come from different backgrounds with different levels of experience, Dr.Baumgaertel will customize the format to your individual needs, and the format may even change as you progress through the Mentorship Program. The general format however will be as follows:
Patient Selection - A patient with a high anchorage requirement is a TAD candidate. You will briefly present this patient, mainly do discuss if your ideas are realistic, and determine the appropriate course of action going forward and the ideal time point for the TAD insertion.
Pre-Insertion Work Up – Approximately one month prior to the insertion you will complete a more in-depth work up of your patient, including progress records and intended treatment set-up, based on the knowledge acquired in the lectures and seminars.
Critical Review – Dr. Baumgaertel will subject your work up to a critical review and will use the clinical situation of your patient as a teaching moment to explain all the relevant factors that apply here. This will usually include, but is not limited to:
Follow Up – After the insertion you will follow up with Dr. Baumgaertel to discuss the experience and analyze your insertion and biomechanics using clinical photos.
First insertion completed. Now repeat. For a total of up to ten times.
To ensure a high quality learning experience the number of participants is strictly limited. to ten doctors every year. The 2023 Class is filled but we are taking requests for 2024. If you are interested please contact us.
The 2024 cost for the 1-year Program is $3349. The amount is due in full at time of registration.
Refunds: you are eligible for a 100% refund until two weeks before the start of the program (January 1st, 2024). No refunds will be given after that date.
Registration is open to all dental practitioners with an interest in orthodontic temporary anchorage devices (TADs), but fluent English is required. A prerequisite for registration is having previously attended Dr. Baumgaertel's TAD Certification Course. It is the most comprehensive online educational course on TADs and it provides a great basis for the TAD Challenge Mentorship Program. Use the contact form to sign up for the Mentorship Program or to ask questions. Registration is currently closed but we are taking requests for 2024!
The Program is not limited to any specific TAD system. However for over 15 years Dr. Baumgaertel has been using Dentaurum's tomas System and you will be getting the most out of this learning experience if you do the same. The versatility of this system is second to none.
Dr. Baumgaertel has no financial interest in any of the products mentioned on this website.
The TAD Challenge Mentorship Program is not a treatment planning service, nor does the information provided during the program constitute treatment advice. All information and correspondence serves educational purposes only. Treatment decisions are made solely by and at the discretion of the treating orthodontist.
